Why is there a need for something as old-fashioned and traditional as a uniform in the Jungschar?

This is a fair question. If you look into the question a bit, you will find many reasons to have a uniform in a Jungschar group. This article shows how a Jungschar uniform can become a can't-miss element in Jungschar.

This article corresponds to the BESJ annual focus 1993:

Worship of God:

Jungschar - Church

Wish:

Our youth group is well integrated into the community and our work is appreciated. We are happy in the community!

"You shall be holy, for I, the LORD your God, am holy." (Exodus 19:2)

"The hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father also seeks such as these to be his worshippers." (John 4:23)

The search for the perfect community

Young people's groups that work together with the regional church should definitely bear some special features in mind

- Effects of coordination and communication internally and externally

- Methods for improving coordination and communication in the municipality

As obvious as this statement seems, it is often disregarded in practice. The expectations of the church, the youth club and its leaders are often very high (something similar can also be said of the other branches of children's and youth work).

As "construction workers", youth leaders contribute a lot to the building of the "church".

Where and how do they help?

Nobody will deny that Ameisli, youth group and teen work costs something. But who should pay for it? The youth leaders? The church? Sponsors? Or simply donors?

You youth leaders do an outstanding job! I think it's great to see the passion and commitment with which you often fight Saturday after Saturday for children and teenagers in your age groups!

The aim of the BESJ services is to win young people for Jesus and the church and to consciously encourage them.

The questions in this working paper are intended to provide food for thought and help in discussions between church leadership and youth leaders in order to eliminate possible weak points in the relationship between the church and the youth group

There are two main concerns of the Advisory Board:

- Composition of the Advisory Board

- Main tasks of the Advisory Board

  • Hiking and sleeping on straw
  • Excursion to the waterfall and discovery of a ruin
  • etc.

Being a leader in the Jungschar involves various important points:

An outdoor game for 20 - 500 people, takes about 2-5 hours

Children also have basic emotional needs

Why do we tell?

It is important to us to awaken and develop the children's ability to experience.

This is not about easy recipes, it is about the biblical way. On the one hand, this way is a way of joy, because God wants to ignite our heart and make us useful for his plans, but it is also a way which is often uncomfortable and makes us look deep into our inner being.

Why? The word of God in the head and heart is a preserving power

For leaders in children's and youth work, it is certainly one of the most beautiful tasks to promote and use the gifts that God as Creator has given to each person. It is truly glorious to see how the Lord has placed them in individual human lives and very regrettable how much lies fallow that could actually be used for the good of all.

Description of a game idea and its possible implementation. Should inspire to implement ideas yourself, to adapt proven games or to play popular games differently in their own context.

Background of the idea is an own game, which I designed in my spare time for home, but which can also be played in the youth group.

A fun game to play during breaks.

Gameplay: The Jungschärler get the order (eg Wanted poster as a start) to look for the lost sheep. They then go from post to post until they find the sheep. At each post there is a leader in disguise. The children are each given a clue as to where the next post is and how to deal with that person to get information. If the specified criteria are not met, the leader does not give information!

Generally, the more leaders, the better. The listed variant can be expanded depending on the time budget and present leaders.

At the end, a big party can be celebrated!:)
