Many voices

Submitted by CarolES on

A course for the blind in which there are many deceptive voices.
The challenge is to listen only to the right instructions.

General conditions

  • Group size: 8-25 people
  • Age: from 8 years
  • Duration: 30 minutes
  • Location: Open, flat terrain

Necessary material

  • Hats for the course
  • Blindfolds

Implementation

One volunteer begins. He is blindfolded and must now find his way through a course

The course is marked by the cones. For example, you can set up a star where the participant has to zigzag around the cones.

The other participants spread out along the course.

As the volunteer moves through the course, the other participants call out a direction. Only if the direction is called in conjunction with his name is it the right one, so there are many deceptive voices giving him the wrong instructions.

The game master stands in the middle of the course

The game master makes sure that the leaders behave correctly. He also calls "Stop!" as soon as this is necessary.

Note

This exercise can only be carried out if it is not perceived by the participants as a bullying situation, i.e. a generally good atmosphere is assumed.

Reflection

Afterwards, talk about how it felt to go through the course as a blind person.
