Mission (quarterly theme)

Submitted by ML3000 on

Here are a few suggestions for what to take for content at Jungscharn afternoons if you have the quarterly theme mission.

General

This quarter explains what mission is and introduces you to different missionaries.

Unfortunately, this topic does not lend itself too well to an experiential program. If an experiential program is to be designed, it is more advisable to share the story of a specific missionary.

Since the title "Mission" sounds a bit foreign, especially for external children and parents, you can also change the program title to "Adventures from all over the world"

Afternoon suggestions

Here's a rough plan of what to do in the various afternoons

What is mission?

The first afternoon was to explain to the children what mission is.

A post run can be organized on how to prepare for a mission trip.

The first afternoon should be spent explaining to the children what mission is.

Missionary

You can invite a missionary, such as Ernst Tanner from the Helimission or anyone else you know best in person.

Stories

In between, you can do stories of missionaries as an experiential program.

Sponsor Run

At the end of the semester, you can have a sponsor run. The money raised will benefit a missionary
