Materials
- Slips of paper with the category written on them (e.g., sports)
- Slips of paper with the questions
- Items representing points (e.g., 100 points = bottle caps, 60 points = beer coasters, etc.)
- Prizes for the winners
Preparation
- There should be at least 12 players.
- The various groups should include both male and female participants, as some questions can only be answered as a group.
- Prepare the questions and category cards
- Place the questions on a table, organized by category.
Procedure
- There are questions covering various topics. These are laid out on a table, folded and organized by topic.
- Each topic area can be chosen a total of only 2 times.
- The first group to start chooses the topic. This topic then applies to all groups for this round.
Example: Group 1 chooses “Sports.” Then all participating groups must take a question about sports from the table and answer it.
- Once the round is over, the “Sports” topic is available only one more time.
- Now it’s Group 2’s turn to choose the topic, and everyone plays a round on that topic.
- Each correctly answered question is worth 100 points.
- In between, estimation questions can be introduced, which are scored differently depending on the results (100, 60, 40, 20).
- At the end, the group with the highest score wins and receives a prize.
