The idea of this EPA afternoon is to continue with the story of The Secret of the Wild Wood, having adventures with Ruth and Philip and making a connection so we are ready to give it our all, however small.
Kids who are "just being disruptive" in our Jungschar:
Why do they just have to be in our youth group?
While walking on earth, Christ had a special concern for the poor and the needy. He healed them, had compassion on them, and never turned away from those who needed help.
Orienteering is a typical Jungschart activity. Jungschartechnik (map reading), sporting activity and nature enjoyment are combined here in an ideal way. Here we explain what you have to consider when preparing an orienteering run
This season, we will look at the story of William Tyndale, who translated the Bible from Hebrew into English. Through this story, we will be able to show children the importance of the Word and that we should be thankful to have it in a language that is accessible to us. We will experience different things that are part of the story.
On a sheet of paper (or similar) two players have to move as fast as possible without touching the ground.
This game takes participants on a tour of the city—which they may or may not be familiar with—and teaches them to pay attention to details.
Materials needed: 1 harness, carabiner, rope, tarp/blanket—if there are many participants, you can double the materials to save time
Depending on the number of participants, two teams are formed.
One at a time, each participant will be fitted with the harness; the team’s task is to use physical strength to support the volunteer, lowering him gradually—without jerking him—until his nose touches the blanket, after which they lift him back up.
The volunteer is allowed to give commands such as “stop,” “slower,” “faster,” etc. Team members line up behind the volunteer and work together as a team.
